Kenyan black tea
Bold CTC black tea from the Kenyan highlands. The small, tight leaves hold up to a long simmer and a pour of milk without going flat.
It's the base of every cup we pour.
It started with a dad selling sambusas out of his van around Nashville. Family-owned since 2015.
Boil 2 cups of water, add 2 level tablespoons of chai and let it lazy simmer 3 to 5 minutes, until it turns a deep, rusty amber. Add 1 cup of milk, simmer 2 to 3 minutes more, sweeten if you like, then strain. Makes 2 cups.
Kenyan CTC black tea from the highlands, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. That's the whole list.
No preservatives and no citric acid. The loose leaf has no added sugar, so how sweet your cup gets is your call.
